Description

Starting the excursion from Caldera is the beginning of an unforgettable experience.

Sailing under the orange and reddish orange light of the sky during the sunset and gazing the mesmerizing view of Santorini island.

Our tour begins from Vlychada Marina and cruising along the coastline of Caldera. The first stop is at Akrotiri’s Red Beach, known for its titular red-hued sand, caused by the volcanic minerals soil, which is a rare sight, probably unique in the whole world, and the neighboring White Beach where snorkeling is recommended in order to explore the underwater caves.

We then head for Mesa Pigadia and on our way to Volcano we pass the old Venetian Lighthouse, built in 1892, one of the first lighthouses in Greece. We reach the volcano island, where you have the chance either to hike to the crater or to enjoy an outstanding swim in the warm and sulfurous waters that grants a natural spa experience of the Hot Springs.

Next stop is Armeni, a small charming place built under the cliffs and the attractive Saint Nicolas church, where you can swim in the deep crystal-clear waters.

We continue sailing towards Thirassia island with picturesque houses painted in various colors, the virgin beaches and the pure nature.

We make one last stop in Aspronisi Island, which is currently uninhabited, and you can admire the sparse plant life that can be found on the island and the nesting ground for some species of migratory birds before we head back to our starting point, Vlychada Marina.
